The much-awaited Sri Lanka Economic Summit organized by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) Sri Lanka’s premier business chamber, is to take place on 12th – 14th September at Cinnamon Grand Colombo. The theme for this year’s Economic Summit is ‘On the Fast Track to a Turnaround’.
Sri Lanka Economic Summit’s first session titled Sri Lanka INC – Transforming into the Digital Economy which is to be held at Cinnamon Grand on 13 September from 2pm to 5pm, at the Economic Summit 2018, aims to inspire local companies to think global, highlight success stories and provide trends of what is to come. The focus of this session will be twofold – the first is on ‘Power houses in the digital era’ and the second is ‘New business models for the digital economy’.
Drawing from the expertise of the Chief Digital Officer of MAS Holdings, Jehan Mutaliph, and Executive Vice President/Group CIO of John Keells Holdings PLC, Ramesh Shanmuganathan, success stories of these 2 power house companies in the digital era will be shared, standing as exemplary and inspiring strategies for local businesses to follow and build on.
Business models suited for contributing and flourishing in a digital economy will be outlined by Ms. Lakmini Wijesundera, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Global Operations of IronOne Technologies (Pvt) Ltd, Dulith Herath, Founder/CEO of Kapruka, and Dee Liyanwela, Head of LSEG Sri Lanka.
Shamindra Kulamannage, Editor-in-Chief of Echelon Magazine will moderate both panel discussions, with Dammika Ganegama, Managing Director of Mitra Innovation joining the 2nd discussion as a panelist.
